Marketing Communications manages the official Notre Dame YouTube channel, which includes approximately 600 titles showcasing academics, faith, and campus life.
If you would like to submit an occasional video for publication on this channel, please complete the video submission form.
If your unit intends to publish numerous videos, consider creating your own YouTube channel. Once your channel is created, let us know and we will subscribe to it. That way, your videos will be published seamlessly on the Notre Dame channel.
Instructions for creating your own YouTube channel are published on the YouTube website.
- To begin the process, you must establish a gmail account for your unit. This gmail account will be connected to your YouTube account.
- Once your new email account is confirmed, go to Adding a username/Channel to find instructions for creating your YouTube account.
Note: YouTube accepts several file formats. However, if you plan to publish to both YouTube and iTunesU, you will want to follow iTunes instruction so that your video will work in both places. It will also work on mobile devices.
iTunes specs: H.264, 480×360, AAC audio, 29.97 fps, 44100 Hz (.m4v format).
Please be sure to apply University brand standards to your unit’s YouTube account.
